The sound of intrusion

Twing. It announced its arrival
It wasn't welcome, but there wasn't a choice
It was either that or no noise at all
No one went with no noise;
It was meant for only flights

Its arrival swallowed conversations
It sat pretty in awkward silences;
Silences that were necessary for them to grow
All comfortable, it grew pregnant
But they didn't want to abort it

Their presence on the cloud mattered most
The likes, the shares, the comments made their chests swell
It didn't matter it wasn't real; it was real enough
Instant gratification was what they sought; humans couldn't do that
It slipped; humans grew on nurturing

Hues of life had been changed
Twing. It announced it another arrival

Dusty Corners

In sight there are no daffodils
Neither are there dollar bills
All I wake up to is the clanging of the doorbell

The saviour of these times announcing her arrival
In her attempt to make my living space,
Cluttered with tables, chairs and ugly bedsheets,
Warmer for her than for me

Cobwebs and dusty corners
Is the state of the corridor and my mind
Nothing can clear it
Not even the swish of the broom
But, she doesn't realise it and neither do I
